Behavioral therapy

Risk language, the moment it appears.

Therapy sessions hold the words that matter most — sometimes only once, sometimes in passing. Perceive8 listens with your clinicians and flags what they may have missed, so supervision happens in minutes, not at the weekly case review.

You're probably doing this with

A clinician's memory and notes after the session. Weekly case review meetings, which are useful but slow. EHR documentation, which is excellent for billing and weak for patterns. Or — for the worst moments — a supervisor finding out three weeks later.

What Perceive8 watches on every call

  • Risk language detected — explicit and implicit indicators, with the full context preserved
  • Coping strategies discussed — captured so progress is traceable across sessions
  • Medication adherence — every mention, every concern, every gap
  • Sentiment shifts within session — when something said changed the room
  • Therapist–patient talk ratio — calibrated to therapeutic approach
  • Family or relationship mentions — for ecological context

One alert worth the subscription

If risk language is detected at any point in a session, notify the supervising clinician within 60 seconds with the timestamped quote and the surrounding two minutes of context.

The supervisor doesn't relisten to the whole session — they listen to two minutes, in the moment, and decide what comes next.

What we're not

We're not a clinician. We don't diagnose, treat, or replace clinical judgment. We don't store recordings longer than your retention policy allows. We're a second set of ears your supervisor wishes they had during every session — and we're transparent that any system involving sensitive mental-health audio carries real ethical weight that lives with your practice, not with us.

FAQ

Is this HIPAA-compliant?
Perceive8 offers HIPAA-aligned configuration — encryption at rest and in transit, audit logging, configurable retention, and a BAA. 'HIPAA-compliant' ultimately depends on how your practice deploys and uses the tool. We provide the infrastructure; your practice is the covered entity.
Where is audio stored?
Audio files are stored on encrypted object storage in the US. Retention is configurable by your admin. PHI redaction runs automatically before any AI processing.
What about state-by-state recording consent laws?
Recording consent law varies by state (all-party vs. one-party consent). Your practice is responsible for obtaining patient consent in compliance with your state's law. Perceive8's consent capture flow (available for HIPAA-adjacent accounts) helps document and track this.
What if a clinician objects to being recorded?
Perceive8 does not require clinicians to be recorded. The system works with recordings your practice already makes for supervision or documentation purposes. Clinician participation is governed by your practice's internal policies.
