Aria assistant

Use Aria, the voice and chat AI assistant, during meetings, in results, and while building scenarios and skills.

Aria assistant

Aria is Perceive8's AI assistant. It can answer questions during a live meeting, help you build scenarios and skills, and chat with you about analysis results.

In-meeting voice assistant

When the voice assistant is enabled for a meeting runtime, the bot can be addressed by name:

"Aria, what did we agree on about pricing?"

The assistant:

  1. Listens to each speaker separately (one audio track per participant, names preserved).
  2. Responds only when addressed by name (or in a short follow-up after its own answer).
  3. Calls the Aria backend with the meeting context.
  4. Speaks the reply back into the meeting, and stops immediately if someone talks over it.

In-meeting capabilities include:

  • Recapping the conversation so far.
  • Checking the calendar and proposing or confirming meetings.
  • Searching workspace files for relevant context.
  • Answering questions about the current deal or support ticket.

Calendar actions only execute on an explicit verbal yes, so the assistant never books a meeting without confirmation.

Scenario builder

In the dashboard, Aria can help you create a scoring scenario by chatting about what you want to measure. For example:

"Score every sales call on discovery, objection handling, and next steps. Flag any deal-risk signals."

Aria drafts a scenario, shows it to you, and lets you save it to the workspace. Saved scenarios can be set as active so they apply to all new analyses and live streams.

Skill creator

Skills are reusable instructions that can be attached to scenarios. Aria can help you write a skill by describing the outcome you want, such as:

"Create a skill that extracts the budget authority and timeline from a call and writes it to a HubSpot note."

Aria drafts the skill, shows it to you, and lets you save it.

Results chat

After an analysis completes, you can ask Aria questions about the transcript:

"What objections came up in this call?" "Summarize the action items." "Which competitor was mentioned most?"

Aria answers using the transcript, transcript segments, alerts, and any connected CRM or workspace context.

API endpoints

These endpoints live under the /aria prefix (not /v1). See Aria conversations for the full reference.

  • POST /aria/playbook-builder/chat — chat with the scenario builder.
  • POST /aria/playbook-builder/generate — generate a scenario from a description.
  • POST /aria/playbook-builder/save — save the generated scenario.
  • POST /aria/skill-creator/chat — chat with the skill creator.
  • POST /aria/skill-creator/save — save the generated skill.
  • POST /aria/results/chat — chat about analysis results (streaming response).

Enabling the voice assistant

The voice assistant is controlled by the MEET_VOICE_ASSISTANT_ENABLED workspace setting and the voiceAssistant flag in the meeting runtime config. It is enabled by default for new workspaces.
