Connect Microsoft 365
A single Microsoft sign-in connects Outlook mail, Outlook Calendar, OneDrive, and SharePoint. Like the Google connection, one grant covers the whole suite.
What you need
- A Microsoft 365 account (work, school, or personal).
- Owner or admin access in your Perceive8 workspace.
- If your organization restricts third-party apps, your Microsoft 365 admin may need to approve Perceive8 first — you'll see a consent screen telling you if that's the case.
Connect
- Go to Audio → Settings → Integrations.
- Find the Microsoft 365 card and click Connect.
- Sign in with your Microsoft account, review the permissions, and click Accept.
- You're returned to the Integration Hub with a confirmation. The card shows your Microsoft account.
Exactly what Perceive8 can do
| Product | Access | What it's used for |
|---|---|---|
| Outlook mail | Read and write | Reading email thread metadata for context and preparing drafts. Perceive8 does not delete mail. |
| Outlook Calendar | Read and write | Reading upcoming events and creating events when something is scheduled for you. |
| OneDrive & SharePoint | Read-only | Searching and reading files so Aria and agents can use them as context. Files are never modified. |
A note on Microsoft Teams: the connection does not include Teams API access, so Perceive8 doesn't read Teams chats or create Teams meetings through it. The meeting bot can still join a Teams call when it's given the meeting link — but it joins as a guest and someone must admit it. See Joining meetings.
Meetings and auto-join
Automatic calendar sync and the per-meeting Meeting auto-join controls currently run on Google Calendar. If meeting capture is your main goal, connect Google Workspace as well — even a calendar that only mirrors your Outlook events works. The Microsoft connection still gives Perceive8 Outlook mail, calendar, and file context for Aria and agents.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect on the Microsoft 365 card. This stops all Microsoft access and revokes the stored token. Data already created — transcripts, analyses, drafts — is not affected. You can also remove Perceive8 from your Microsoft account's app permissions at any time.
Troubleshooting
- "Need admin approval" during sign-in. Your organization requires an administrator to consent to new apps. Send the approval request from the consent screen, or ask your Microsoft 365 admin to approve Perceive8, then try again.
- You keep being asked to sign in again. The refresh token may have been revoked (for example by a conditional-access policy). Disconnect and reconnect; if it repeats, your admin should check the tenant's token-lifetime policies.
- Files aren't found. File access is limited to what the signing-in account can see. Shared drives and SharePoint sites require that account to have access.
