How integrations work
This page explains the basics that apply to every integration. Once you understand these concepts, each provider's guide is a short read.
The Integration Hub
All integrations are managed from Audio → Settings → Integrations. Providers are grouped by category (CRM, Email, Calendar, Files, Calls, Messaging, Intelligence, Automation, DevOps), each with its own card showing:
- A short description of what the integration does.
- A Connect button — or Coming soon if it isn't available yet.
- Once connected: a Connected badge, the account you connected (for example your Google email address), up to three capability badges, and a Disconnect button.
Who can connect: only workspace owners and admins can authorize or disconnect integrations. If you don't see the buttons work, ask your workspace owner.
Two ways to connect
OAuth sign-in (Google, Microsoft, HubSpot, RingCentral)
- Click Connect on the provider's card.
- You're redirected to the provider's own sign-in page — Perceive8 never sees your password.
- Review the permissions (scopes) and approve.
- You land back in the Integration Hub with a confirmation message.
API key (Aircall, Clearbit, Apollo, GitHub, and most others)
- Click Connect on the provider's card — an input appears.
- Paste the key or token you generated in that provider's dashboard.
- Click Save. Perceive8 verifies the key against the provider's API before storing anything; an invalid key is rejected immediately with an error.
What happens right after you connect
Connecting is more than a badge. Perceive8 automatically:
- Marks related setup tasks on your boards as done (if you used automatic account setup).
- Suggests the next most useful connection at the top of the hub — for example, a phone system after you connect a CRM.
- Unblocks recommended agents that required this tool: they are created, provisioned, and given their first tasks without you lifting a finger.
Some integrations also start working in the background immediately — for example, connecting Google starts syncing your calendar into the Meeting auto-join section on the same page.
How your credentials are protected
- Passwords are never involved — OAuth providers authenticate you on their own site.
- API keys and OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and are never displayed again after you save them.
- OAuth tokens are refreshed automatically in the background, so a connection stays alive without you re-signing-in.
- Every connection event is recorded in your workspace's activity log.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect on any connected card. Disconnecting:
- Stops immediately: syncs, auto-joins, webhooks, and any use of the stored credentials for that provider.
- Does not delete anything: transcripts, analyses, CRM notes, and other data already created stay where they are — in Perceive8 and in the connected tool.
- Can be undone by connecting again at any time.
For OAuth providers you can also revoke access from the provider's side (for example, your Google Account's security settings). Both sides end up disconnected either way.
Where to go next
- Available integrations — the full catalog with per-provider guides.
- Connect Google Workspace — the most common starting point (calendar auto-join).
- Connect HubSpot — the CRM two-way sync.
